School Counselors

Hello! My name is Melinda Wannes, and I am one of the new school counselors at PACS. I have two master’s degrees in biology and counseling. I have worked in the educational field for over ten years and at all grade levels, including primary, secondary, and higher grade levels. Sadly, I have noticed students nationwide are losing their motivation to learn. This gives me the experience as a counselor to help my students with their academic, career, and social-emotional domains. Success should not stop at graduating high school, so I strive to help students gain independence to achieve their goals and learn how to advocate for themselves for their futures. Times have changed, and my goal is to help students find their purpose and show them I care not only about their success but also about them.
